Susan Kare is a pioneering and influential computer iconographer. Since 1983, when she designed the fonts and icons for the original Apple Macintosh, the San Francisco-based designer has created thousands of digital icons and other graphics for hundreds of clients. Many examples of her work are familiar to anyone who uses a computer, from wristwatch cursor and Chicago typeface to Facebook virtual gifts. She currently works as a lead designer at Pinterest and makes fine art icon prints.
